About the Role

"Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Representative to join our team and provide HR support for our Tree Care service business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of HR administration, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, applicant screening, interviewing, and selection.
Oversee employee onboarding, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and training.
Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and communication.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Conduct investigations into employee complaints and issues and make recommendations for resolution.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
Manage HR projects and initiatives, such as performance management, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement.
Stay up-to-date with changes in HR laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR administration, preferably in the tree care industry.
Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and state-specific laws.
Experience with HRIS and other relevant software and tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Physical Demands:
The HR Representative is a desk-based job with light physical demands. The candidate should be able to sit for extended periods, use a computer, and attend meetings and events as required.

  • HR Knowledge: The ideal candidate should have a strong background in human resources, including knowledge of employment law, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.


  • Bilingual : Spanish / English


  • Communication Skills: The HR Representative should have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. They should be able to effectively communicate with employees, management, and outside vendors.

  • Organizational Skills: The candidate should be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They should have a keen attention to detail and be able to maintain accurate records.

  • Interpersonal Skills: The HR Representative should have strong interpersonal skills and be able to build positive relationships with employees and management. They should be able to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.


  • Recruitment and Hiring Skills: The candidate should have experience in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new employees. They should be able to identify qualified candidates, conduct effective interviews, and oversee the onboarding process.


  • Benefits Administration: The HR Representative should have experience in administering benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits. They should be able to answer employee questions and provide guidance on benefit options.


  • Compliance: The candidate should have knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). They should be able to ensure the company is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.


  • Training and Development: The HR Representative should have experience in developing and delivering training programs for employees, including orientation, safety, and professional development training.
